Lesbian Atlanta Chef Will Appear on Finale of “Ultimate Thanksgiving Challenge” Tonight

Deborah VanTrece will represent Atlanta on the Food Network tonight, as she competes for the $25,000 prize. The owner of Twisted Soul has made it to the final three, outlasting two other contestants.

Twisted Soul opened December 2016 in West Midtown. VanTrece’s recipes combine the comfort foods Southerners crave with flavors inspired from her global travels, like flash-fried chicken wings with coconut gravy, sweet tea baby back ribs, duck confit with sweet potato dumplings and peach cobbler parfait.

“She’s just always enjoyed preparing foods that make people feel good,” Lorraine Lane, VanTrece’s wife and bar and beverage director for Twisted Soul, told the Georgia Voice. “There’s nothing really simple about Deborah’s food, but it’s definitely good.”

Tune in to the Food Network tonight at 9 P.M. to see if VanTrece will take home the gold!
