The city was ordered last week by a federal judge to pay out $1.025 million to the plaintiffs and their attorneys in the lawsuit as well as make significant changes to its police policies.

The lawsuit stated the Atlanta Police Department and its Red Dog Unit illegally searched and detained patrons of the bar when it was raided Sept. 10, 2009, violating their constitutional rights.
