Atlanta black gay dads forum set for April 18

Those interested in participating in a black gay dads forum on April 18 need to register by Wednesday, April 15.

The forum is set for Saturday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Philip Rush Center and is free to those interested. To register,
call Geneva Musgrave at 212-809-8585 ext. 216 or email gmusgrave@lambdalegal.org.

Free childcare services, parking and a light breakfast and lunch will also be provided.

This forum is open to all black gay, bisexual and transgender dads to discuss the needs of black men and their same-sex households while providing a safe space for men to share their experiences, ask questions and provide ideas about raising children.

The event features gay fathers Christopher Inniss and Shelton Stroman, father of Jonathan, age 9. The fathers are the lead sponsors in the federal lawsuit seeking to overturn Georgia’s same-sex marriage ban.

The event is co-sponsored by Georgia Equality and the National Black Justice Coalition.
