Spotlight on LGBT non-profits for Georgia Gives Day

Numerous local LGBT non-profits are taking part in the online fundraiser Georgia Gives Day on Thursday, Nov. 12. Over 1,200 organizations are part of the daylong donation drive created by the Georgia Center for Nonprofits.

So far the campaign has been able to bring in nearly 30,000 donors to more than 2,000 organizations, raising more than $5.1 million for their causes since the inaugural event in 2012. This year will once again feature prize competitions throughout the day to add a little incentive to donate—beyond that whole “kindness of your heart” thing that is, but hey a little prize can’t hurt motivation right?

Here’s a list of organizations given an LGBT tag on Georgia Gives Day’s page, also reprinted below. If you’re a non-profit organization in Georgia that serves a sizable number of LGBT individuals and you’re taking part in Georgia Gives Day and not listed here, email us here and we’ll update this story accordingly.
