Boy Scouts survey members on removing gay ban

The survey asks a series of questions regarding specific scenarios to judge member feedback. It also asks the taker’s general thoughts on the organization and offers the opportunity for additional feedback.

BSA has come under fire for its policy prohibiting openly gay scouts and in some cases openly gay scout leaders. More than a million petitions called on the scouts to reconsider the ban. And last week, pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen said she and rock group Train would not perform at an annual scout jamboree.

The group is expected to discuss inclusion at its next board meeting.
