Man Arrested in Connection with Homicide at Historic Orlando Gay Hotel Parliament House

Orlando police have arrested a man in connection with a homicide at the historic gay hotel and nightclub Parliament House Resort, reported the Orlando Sentinel.

OPD was called around midnight on April 1 after guests reported hearing gunshots. Police discovered 37-year-old Ricardo Filmore shot and bleeding on the ground of one of the hotel rooms. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical examiners.

On April 15, 28-year-old Courtney Lamar Williams was taken into custody for the murder. He faces a first-degree murder charge for shooting and killing Filmore.

Filmore was an employee of the historic gay venue, which features several gay bars, a dance club, theater, and hotel rooms. According to a Facebook post from the Parliament House, the murder was the result of “a domestic dispute.”
