Martin Luther King Jr. March and Rally
The annual Martin Luther King Jr. march and rally took place Jan. 16, 2012, with thousands of people marching on Auburn Avenue from Peachtree Street to Jackson Street and ending at the King National Historic Site where speakers included State Sen. Nan Orrock (D-Atlanta), LGBT activist Paulina Helm-Hernandez and Bernice King, the new CEO of the King Center.
A small contingent of LGBT activists marched alongside Obama supporters, unions, anti-war protesters and Occupy Wall Street activists. (Photos by Dyana Bagby)
