The work of Jon Arge is on display for two months at Kai Lin Art

Jon Arge, Best Artist winner in this year’s Georgia Voice “Best of Atlanta” awards, was one of 10 illustrative artists participating in the “Monsters” art show at Kai Lin Art featuring monster-inspired works on Friday, July 16. People packed the gallery/event space and spilled onto the sidewalks as well for the monster success of an opening. The show will be up for two months.

Rev. Josh Noblitt hosted a community picnic in Piedmont Park

And rounding out our coverage from the weekend was a picnic in Piedmont Park on Sunday, July 18, organized by Rabbi Joshua Lesser and Rev. Josh Noblitt, who was recently the victim of a bias-crime in Piedmont Park. The picnic was held near the same spot Noblitt and his friend were robbed at gunpoint by a group of teens. As part of the day, Noblitt’s friends Carlton and Kari Mackey were photographing attendees in the same spot Noblitt was attacked for a future photo book.
