Anti-gay foes gear up for ‘March for Marriage’

Anyway, NOM and other organizations are moving forward with their “march” that will feature a not-so-unexpected cast of foes like NOM President Brian Brown, Bishop Harry Jackson, and Concerned Women for America President Penny Nance.

NOM Chairman John Eastman recently stated that he believes the Supreme Court will overturn a lower court’s ruling. Simply taking the case is proof the court disagrees with the lower court’s ruling, he argues.

“We believe that it is significant that the Supreme Court has taken the Prop 8 case,” Eastman said. “We believe it is a strong signal that the Court will reverse the lower courts and uphold Proposition 8. That is the right outcome based on the law and based on the principle that voters hold the ultimate power over basic policy judgments and their decisions are entitled to respect.”

While no one can predict what the court will decide, I would bet that this event is a flop of epic proportions and will have no bearing whatsoever on how the court will ultimately rule.
