Meak Productions celebrates Black Gay Pride's 15th anniversary tonight at Meliá hotel

Radio broadcast honors Black Gay Pride

Meak Productions presents a live radio recording and press conference in honor of 15 years of Atlanta Black Gay Pride at the Melia Hotel tonight from 6 – 8 p.m. The radio program will feature organizers and leaders of Atlanta’s Black Gay Pride festival.

“Being born and raised here, I remember when there was no Official Black Gay Pride in Atlanta,” stated Miko Evans, Meak Pro’s Founder & Executive Producer, via a media release.

“In the past, ITLA, The Lion’s Den, and other event planners had their own host hotels for visitors and guests attending Labor Day Weekend events. I feel that by all parties sharing the same host hotel this year, it will be the beginning of restoring the original birthright that created and started Black Pride years ago. We felt it appropriate to kick off our History of Black Gay Atlanta radio series, which starts this Fall 2011 on the Exceptional Radio Network, with the LIVE Recording of this event.”
