Survey says: U.S. Senate, governor’s races headed to runoffs in Georgia

Having fun watching TV lately? Of course you are, what with all the political ads running constantly on every local news station. It’s a hoot. But don’t worry, we’ve reached the final weekend before Election Day and will soon find out who will win in the U.S. Senate and governor’s races here in Georgia—or find out who’s going to a runoff, adding some good old fashioned mudslinging into your holiday TV schedule.

We’ve rounded up the final batch of polls from a number of sources, and all but one agree: none of the candidates in either top ticket race is going to hit 50 percent plus one vote, therefore throwing the governor’s race into a December 2 runoff and the senate race into a January 6 runoff.

We also pulled a poll on the race for attorney general between Democrat Greg Hecht and incumbent Republican Sam Olens, and the LGBT favorite Hecht has made up ground and is now within the margin of error (MOE).
