Alexandria Martin, who has entertained Atlanta and surrounding audiences for years, held her good-bye show at the Jungle on Saturday, Nov. 13, with some of city's top notch drag queens and kings on hand to bid her adieu.
Martin is leaving Atlanta soon for Kansas, but will have another farewell party on Nov. 23 at 11 p.m. at Blake's on the Park for those of you who missed her "Bon Voyage" farewell party that included a humorous opening number of "My Heart Will Go On" from the movie "Titanic" featuring a big boat and an iceberg.
Appearances and performances by Mr. Charlie Brown (back in town for a brief time after several months in Lake Tahoe), Nicole Paige Brooks, Martina McBride, Coochie Cabana, Mimi Simone, Martina Diamante, Devin Liquor, Bubba D. Licious, Summer Knight, Shavonna B. Brooks, Jasmine Antoinette, Owen McCord and many others.
The ever popular "Rupaul's Drag Race" on Logo has been picked up for a third season and premieres in January with Atlanta's own Phoenix on the roster of contestants. Also from Atlanta is Mariah, but we are not very familiar with her yet.
Atlanta has been represented well on "Rupaul's Drag Race" with Nicole Paige Brooks and Sonique appearing last season on the show.
Joining Rupaul and Santino Rice as a permanent judge for the 2011 season is Michelle Visage.
