Q: What’s gay, has six legs, and will be at Atlanta’s Punchline Comedy Club on Jan. 24?
A: The Queer Queens of Qomedy!
Queer Queens of Qomedy, or QQQ, is the brainchild of producer and comedienne Poppy Champlin, featured on Showtime’s “Pride: The Gay and Lesbian Comedy Slam” special hosted by Bruce Vilanch.
For the past five years, Champlin has selected several lesbian comics and taken them to various cities to bring queer comedy to the people. Now in its sixth year and sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign, Champlin’s QQQ Southern Tour will include fellow comics Vickie Shaw and Barb Neligan.
