Atlanta’s Queer Justice League releases first local ‘It Gets Better’ video

QJL, a fledgling group of gay activists, decided to undertake the video campaign after reading about gay journalist Dan Savage’s campaign of people submitting videos of themselves urging young queer people thinking of suicide or feeling alone or who are bullied to understand that the tough times being experienced now will not last forever.

A candlelight vigil is planned for 7 p.m. at 10th Street and Monroe Drive to commemorate the lives lost.

Here’s the first video — many more are expected to come.
