Jonathan Van Ness Named Essie’s First Non-Female Ambassador for Pride Month

In honor of Pride month, Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness has been named nail polish brand Essie’s first “non-female ambassador.”

Van Ness, who took home Male Star of the Year at the Critics’ Choice Real TV Awards, announced the partnership on Instagram by sporting what he called a “mosaic mani moment.”

“I’m so honored to announce I’ve teamed up with Essie as their first non-female ambassador in celebration of Pride!” he writes. “For me, polish has always been a form of self-expression. Right now that means this mosaic rainbow mani moment. Wearing it proud!”

Essie also posted the announcement to their Instagram page.

“Happy pride month!” they said. “We are excited to announce a new, colorful collab this month with someone special.”

Fans commented on the posts expressing excitement over the new collaboration.

“OMFG my two favs together at last!” one user wrote.

“My son just came out to me a few weeks ago, yesterday we painted his nails, it made him so happy,” commented a proud mom.

“Omg I love this so much!” said another.

Essie does not appear to be donating any of their proceeds to LGBTQ charities this month.
