The Atlanta Dream, Atlanta’s professional women’s basketball team, kicks off their 2011 today at Philips Arena against the New York Liberty at 3:00 p.m. The Dream will unveil their 2010 Eastern Conference Championship banner. Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed will be on-hand to take part in the banner’s unveiling.
The Dream made it all the way to the WNBA Finals last season, and will look to break through and capture the first professional sporting championship for the city in over a decade.
