Around a dozen protesters gathered outside of the Colony Square Chick-fil-A this afternoon to stage a “kiss-in” to protest the company’s donations to anti-gay causes.

The demonstration occurred today around 1 p.m. and lasted a brief ten or fifteen minutes.

There were no incidents, save a security guard asking that any protesting be done from the city-owned sidewalk because of a homemade protest sign and a heckler shouting, “God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve” to those demonstrating.

The demonstrators responded in kind, replying, “God loves everyone” and “God made us all.”

Employees from the neighboring Shout restaurant briefly joined in the demonstration, as well. One Shout employee told demonstrators “Shout loves y’all!”

Shout frequently hosts drag performers and other queer acts in the evenings.
