Gay blog Queerty has an interesting story on the "Bareback Brotherhood," an online social group that claims 6,000 members worldwide and has its own Twitter hashtag #BBBH.
From its website (NSFW) that is named bbbh.iblastinside.com:
Gay marriage opponents have long used the ridiculous argument that allowing gay marriage opens up the legal system to all kinds of marriages — including polygamous marriages in which one man is married to several women.
Today marks a strange twist in that logic as the lawyer for Kody Brown and his four wives, stars of TLC's polygamy reality series “Sister Wives,” announced that the Browns plans to sue the state of Utah over its bigamy law, which goes beyond criminalizing multiple marriage licenses and actually prohibits married people from purporting to marry another person, or live with another person in a marriage-like way.

Call it a break. Call it time apart. Whatever you want to call it, gay blog Queerty is back.
The popular gay blog that used snarky commentary and featured plenty of mostly naked boys, announced back in April that it was shutting down. Yes, it's really back. Go check it out. I'll wait.
The site's owner, David Hauslaib, sold Queerty to GayCities, an LGBT resource company based in San Francisco, according to an article on the site. GayCities says that many of the original staff, as well as some new faces, including my former co-worker Dan Renzi, are hopping onboard the new incarnation.
Reaction to the initial shuttering was far from mixed. Most of our readers and commenters online felt that Queerty regularly crossed the line in their coverage of closeted celebrities and the tone of the content was unnecessarily “snarky.”
The popular Queerty blog has shut down.
Posted to its website today is this message:
A message from Queerty
After more than five years of serving the LGBT community with news and entertainment, Queerty has come to a close. The decision to shutter the site was not an easy one to make, and it is with great pain that we say goodbye to our loyal readership. From all of Queerty's writers and contributors, from our first unto our last day, thank you for spending some time with us.
