The Human Rights Campaign’s annual Atlanta bowling event is sold out, but you can still drop in Saturday to root for your friends, hear DJ Shane V and join the nation’s largest LGBT political group.
Dubbed “Peach Bowl,” the fundraiser is set for 2:30-6:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at Midtown Bowl, 1936 Piedmont Circle, Atlanta, GA 30324.
The afternoon of friendly competition features prizes for top scores and most team spirit, as well as emcee Mary Edith Pitts.
“We encourage anyone in the community to come join us for the entertainment and to cheer on their favorite team and sponsors,” said Ed Patterson of HRC Atlanta.
The event benefits HRC’s work at the federal level for LGBT equality.
Tickets are also already on sale for HRC’s 26th annual Atlanta Gala Dinner, set for May 4 at the Hyatt Regency.
Last year’s HRC Atlanta Dinner drew a crowd of more than 1,000 and featured then-U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wisc.), who is now the first openly gay U.S. senator, and actor Sean Hayes, best known for his work as Jack on “Will & Grace.”
