Dance music icon Amber and her chart-topping hits are coming to Atlanta Pride this year as another performer is rolled out for the fest.

“Amber has one of the most outstanding catalogues in dance music with a slew of songs that topped the Billboard dance charts. We are glad she is joining us for Pride and we are excited to hear her perform her biggest hits,” said Atlanta Pride Executive Director Buck Cooke in a press release.

“For many of us, Amber’s music was the soundtrack of our coming out process, and that certainly is the case for me. I am looking forward to hearing ‘Above the Clouds’ and ‘One More Night’ among her other hits,” he added.
Her song “This Is Your Night” topped the U.S. charts in 1996 and enjoyed more success as part of the soundtrack for the comedy movie “A Night at the Roxbury” in 1998.

Atlanta Pride will be taking participants on a trip to their pasts and to the present. Amber’s announcement comes on the heels of its announcement that chart-topper Meghan Trainor with her current No. 1 song “All About That Bass” will also be performing at Atlanta Pride this year.

“For many of us, Amber’s music was the soundtrack of our coming out process, and that certainly is the case for me. I am looking forward to hearing ‘Above the Clouds’ and ‘One More Night’ among her other hits,” Cooke said.

Amber will be performing Saturday, Oct. 11, on the Coca-Cola stage. For more information about Atlanta Pride, visit www.atlantapride.org.
