The fourth annual MondoHomo queer fest of delights continues today at Eyedrum with a trip down homo memory lane with “Gay: The Ride.” The night continues with Mondo Cabaret featuring sexy and titillating burlesque, queer drag and performance artists from across the U.S.
The events begin at 8 p.m. Eyedrum is located at 290 Martin Luther King Junior Drive SE, Atlanta, GA 30312. Cost is $10 or you can still get a pass to all events over the weekend for $25.
“Gay: The Ride” was written by Adam Fair and is directed by Bridget Fancher and includes a “cast of local celebrity drag queens and drag kings and beloved Mondohomies!”
According to www.mondohomo.com, the play invites participants to “Hop into the magical gay time machine and blast off to a delightful display of gay history! This ride includes realistic robotic animatronics, animated videos and amazing sound effects that will have you gasping for more. Meet famous homosexuals for the first time, learn who invented homophobia and meet real life space queers from the future! Hear a beautiful collage of songs from around the gay world until you can’t take it anymore! It will be a mind-boggling, fantasmagorical journey into gayness you will never forget! YOU WILL GET WET!”
Mondo Cabaret stars such favorites as Ms. Bea Haven, Cruel Valentine, Queerella, Tim Monteith, James Darling, Krystal Woods, Evil Sarah, Molotov Cocktease, Luster De La Virgion, STUD Butch, Steele Mackin’, King Jaeveon, The Mockingcocks, Noah Redd, Fonda Lingue, Devin Liquor and The Lady Ms. Vagina Jenkins.
