“There’s never been anything like this in Atlanta before,” says Chanel Monroe, lead dancer and spokesperson for the weekly event.
Each week, there will be 10 or so regular dancers with a rotating cast of as many as 25 additional dancers, Monroe says. Not only will the entertainment staff be transgender, the waitresses and other staff will also be trans.
The expected clientele will be mostly heterosexual men, Monroe says, but she hesitates to label potential clients by sexual orientation or gender identity. Everyone, Monroe says, will be welcome.
